Installation

Klångedang T1 speakers are designed to be installed rather close to the wall on stable stands. They are not designed for any specific distance to the wall, so you simply need to listen and test for yourself to find the best sounding position. A good retailer will help you with this. A careful placement gives an opportunity to adapt to the room acoustics, and in some cases Klångedang T1 may also work very well far away from the wall.

Klångedang T1 sends more energy into the stands than most speakers, making them a little bit more demanding when it comes to their stands. Klångedang T1 can make a poor stand to start resonating, and when this happens the music will be degraded. Often a poor stand remains a poor stand even if you damp it with sand.

If you put them on a bookshelf the T1 need some space around the cabinet to let the bass flow out properly from its rear port. Experiment yourself what sounds best; just place the cabinet directly onto the shelf, or by mounting 4 M6 screws in the bottom inserts. M6 spikes are also an option. In most cases simply placing the cabinet directly onto the shelf will work fine. This enables the energy to dissolve and move into the shelf. But avoid any items in the bookshelf that may start interfering and make a noise!

The bass port on the backside also gives some output in the midrange, which means that the acoustics close to the port can make a difference. But normally you don't have to bother about this.

Placing the X-overs

You are going to have the best performance if you put the X-overs at least 20 cm from the electronic equipment, and a short cable (60-80 cm) between the amplifier and the X-overs. A good wooden shelf is the best. Try to avoid any metal close to the X-overs! Even so-called "nonmagnetic" metal will have some effects. We apologize if this makes the placing of the X-overs a little bit more difficult, but they are sensitive to placement, so optimizing this will also improve the end performance of Klångedangs...
